McDonald’s Singapore returns with its Prosperity meal for Lunar New Year 2025, but not without a Sanrio collaboration for a line-up of exclusive merchandise to celebrate the festivities. Here’s what you need to know.
Every Lunar New Year will be the only season for fast food fans to savour the peppery Prosperity Burger and Prosperity twister fries in Singapore. 2025 introduces the Fortune Prosperity Burger (choice of beef or chicken) – which includes an over-easy egg – and strawberry ice cream flavour.
Alongside the return of McDonald’s Singapore Prosperity food items, Lunar New Year 2025 will have My Melody and Cinnamoroll of Sanrio join the celebrations. These iconic characters will appear in a variety of limited merchandise at the fast food chain – either gift with purchase or add-on purchase.
Sanrio My Melody and Cinnamoroll Red Packets (Release date: 2 January, 11am)
Leading the charge are the My Melody and Cinnamoroll-themed red packets. Featuring auspicious greetings accompanied by cute My Melody and Cinnamoroll designs, the brightly-coloured envelopes highlight signature McDonald’s food items like Big Mac, French Fries, and McFlurry.
These red packets are available free in a set of six (one pack) with the purchase of any Prosperity Feast Meal, while stocks last. Each Prosperity Feast Meal includes a Prosperity Burger, Medium-sized Twister, Small Drink, and Pineapple Pie.
Sanrio My Melody and Cinnamoroll Snap Card Game (Release date: 16 January, 11am)
Gather your family and friends for a nostalgic game of Snap this Lunar New Year. The limited pack of cards features various My Melody and Cinnamoroll designs for players to pair for victory.
Get one free box of Snap Cards with any purchase of Value Meal, Upsized Value Meal, Feast, 2x Value Meal, or Family Meal. While stocks last.
Sanrio My Melody and Cinnamoroll Cushions (Release date: 3 and 10 February, 11am)
Snuggle with fluffy My Melody and Cinnamoroll character cushions that are irresistibly cute. The head-shaped pillows see My Melody and Cinnamoroll sporting a rabbit and bear headgear respectively.
The cushions cost S$13.90 each, with the purchase of any Value Meal, Upsized Value Meal, Feast, 2x Value Meal, or Family Meal. While stocks last and limited to one meal per transaction.
Cinnamoroll cushion design will be available from 3 February, 11am, and My Melody cushion design will be available from 10 February, 11am.
