From Labubus to Jellycat dolls, bag charms are all the rage right now, and adding on to that craze is Louis Vuitton.
The luxury brand recently launched new bag charms in the form of a plush bear called Louis Bear and its beloved mascot, Vivienne.
The Louis Bear charms are available in four designs at a whopping $1,670 each. Each bear dons different accessories like hats, sunglasses and jackets.
The Vivienne charms ($1,870) — which have been named Vivienne Fashionista — come in six whimsical designs.
Similar to the Louis Bears, the Vivienne Fashionista dolls flaunt varying accessories like handbags, scarves and sunglasses.
The Vivienne Fashionista charms are available for purchase in-stores, on Louis Vuitton’s website and on the Louis Vuitton app, while the Louis Bear charms can only be bought on the Louis Vuitton app.
Luxury Labubu?
The launch of these charms seems to have gotten social media’s attention, with some content creators saying this was the luxury brand’s way of jumping onto the Labubu trend, which has been going strong since last year.
For context, Labubu is part of Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung’s story series, The Monsters, which he created back in 2015.
It gained popularity in 2024 after several superstars, including Blackpink’s Lisa, were spotted hanging the doll on their bags.
On TikTok, a few content creators have called the Louis Vuitton bag charms the new Labubu, with one nicknaming it “Lavuvu”.
US content creator Rebekah Isabel said that the luxury brand hopped on the Labubu trend “as fast as they could”.
“I didn’t realise that Labubus are going to be more of a trend than ever,” she shared.

Influencer and reality TV star Safa Siddiqui, who starred in Netflix’s Dubai Bling, has also made a TikTok video in which she unboxes the Vivienne Fashionista bag charm.
“Let me show you something even more bougie than a Labubu. It is the Louis Vuitton Labubu,” she said as she took the packaging off the box.

“How cute is this little thing! It’s made out of mink’s fur, it has the pink logo at the back and she’s carrying a little handbag!” she added.
Could this be a sign of the next fashion trend, or is this simply a marketing tactic?
The jury’s still out, but it seems people are loving the charms, despite the heavy price tag.
In the comments, some netizens said the Louis Vuitton charms were cute.
But there are those who aren’t fans.
