The highly anticipated Dairy Milk Biscoff bar has divided opinion, with some Cadbury fans left ‘disappointed’ after chocolate collaboration fails to meet high expectations
Cadbury’s new chocolate bar launched this week but has divided opinion – with some calling the product ‘disappointing’ and ‘expensive’.
The brands teased the new collab for months, resulting in extra high expectations, but fans of the two chocolate giants have been left underwhelmed after trying the product.
Originally set to be released in Morrisons on Wednesday, March 19, the new Dairy Milk Biscoff bar was spotted in the supermarket store over the weekend.
Priced from £1.69 for the 95g bar, and from £2 for the slightly bigger 105g bar, it has previously been billed as ‘the ultimate duo’.
Its creators say the ‘irresistible creation sees Cadbury Dairy Milk’s signature creamy chocolate envelop the deliciously satisfying crunch of Biscoff’s caramelised biscuits intended to keep your taste buds tantalised until the very last square’.
But since people have had a chance to get their hands on the highly anticipated product, reactions are seeming to vary.
Commenters on Morrisons’ Facebook post announcing the launch of the sweet treat in their stores are positive, with one saying: “Hope I can find it”.
Another comment said: “Wow I need this”
However, people reacting elsewhere on Facebook did not share the same enthusiasm for the newly released chocolate – claiming that the biscoff taste was underwhelming.
One social media user said: “It’s not even that great. Would no way guess it’s biscoff if you didn’t see the packet.”
Another person called the product a ‘disappointment,’ stating that you “can’t even taste the biscoff AT ALL.”
Other criticisms include the cost of the product, with one commenter saying: “I paid £1.75 today in morrisons it best be nice …expensive for size”

Connor Gould, brand manager at Cadbury, said last week: “This might be the hardest secret we have had to keep. We know people love the irresistible smoothness of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate and the satisfying crunch of Biscoff, so this collaboration was something that we were excited to announce to both chocolate and biscuit lovers alike.
“It’s a match made in chocolatey-biscuit heaven, proving to be a truly unique and delectable experience for all! We can’t wait to hear what everything thinks of it.”
The bar has been available in Sainsbury’s from March 15, and will appear in Tesco from March 25 and in Asda from March 27.
