The council’s Trading Standards team has issued a public warning after fake versions of the toys, part of the Pop Mart Monsters series, were discovered across the county.
The dolls are popular with children and young people but are being sold without proper safety labelling, and contain loose parts that could pose a choking hazard.
Councillor Gordon Stewart, cabinet member for public safety at Northumberland County Council, said: “The safety of our children must always come first.
“We are issuing this urgent warning to consumers, especially parents, to remain vigilant when purchasing these highly sought-after collectables and to report any concerns about the safety of toys they have bought or seen on sale to us.”
The counterfeit dolls are missing the required CE or UKCA marks and do not include the name and address of a UK-based supplier.
Many also lack a QR code linking to the official Pop Mart website.
Trading Standards officers are set to continue to inspect shops across the county and remove any suspected counterfeit Labubu dolls from sale.
Anyone who believes they have purchased a fake Labubu doll or has seen them on sale is being urged to contact tradingstandards@northumberland.gov.uk.
