CASSELBERRY, Fla. – Who knew tiny monster dolls could turn a local card shop into the hottest fashion venue in town?
That’s exactly what happened at Big League Cards in Casselberry, where collectors of all ages showed up to strut their stuff at what owner Alan Narz dubbed their “long-anticipated Big League Labubu Fashion Show.”
Fans of the trending toy line from China didn’t just bring their decorated Labubu dolls – they came dressed in full Labubu-inspired fashion themselves.
“I’ve been in retail my whole life. I’ve had the store here for 32 years,” Narz said. “Never have I seen a product that universally the reaction when they open it is always ‘Aaaah!’ every time you open one.”

The shop was packed with excited collectors showing off their prized Labubus. These aren’t your ordinary toys – they come in “blind boxes,” meaning buyers get the thrill of surprise with each purchase. One creative participant even dressed their Labubu in Penn State colors to celebrate their college acceptance.
The event wasn’t just about showing off collections. Big League Cards turned their space into a full-on celebration with games, raffles, and plenty of free Labubu giveaways. It’s quite the evolution for a shop that started out focusing on sports cards.
“We’ve always said we don’t sell cardboard, we sell smiles, we sell fun, we sell interaction, that’s our niche,” Narz said.
His philosophy seems to be working – the shop has become a gathering spot for collectors of all kinds.
The enthusiasm was contagious throughout the event. Participants couldn’t stop gushing about their love for the toy line’s variety and unique designs. One winner was so overcome with joy they were “on the verge of breaking down in tears.”
“You know, there’s so many bad choices in the world so right now- you can just have fun and buy your dolls and buy your cards and collect and you can trade with each other and just good fun,” Narz added.
What started as a simple fashion show turned into something bigger – a reminder that even in our digital age, nothing beats the joy of people coming together to share their passions. For one evening, a small Casselberry card shop became the perfect spot for collectors to shine.
