Look out, Labubu: There are some new bag charms in town.
Louis Vuitton just unveiled a collection of plush charms that can be attached to any handbag you carry, Hypebeast reported. The French fashion house’s launch is hitting the market at the height of the Labubu craze; the Chinese kid’s toy that has taken the luxury world by storm as a must-have accessory for high-end bags, like Hermès’s iconic Birkin.
Instead of opting for a wild-eyed, monster-esque creation, LV has chosen two different designs for its new charms. The first is a new take on the maison’s beloved Vivienne, which made its debut back in in 2017. Now, it’s the Vivienne Fashionista’s turn to step onto the scene. The latest launch comes with a fur ring shaped like the brand’s famed monogram flower design, with eight different offerings up for grabs—you can opt for a red floral, for example, or perhaps a more neutral muted hue. Each is made from premium leather and also features accents such as pearls or rhinestones. And even your Vivienne Fashionista has its own accessories: The charms can rock a handbag, sunglasses, a tennis racket, or a scarf, depending on which one you choose.

Louis Vuitton also unveiled the Louis Bear charm, which is available in four designs. As the name suggests, this plush accessory takes on the silhouette of a bear. One iteration sports a baseball bat, a jersey, and a cap, while another is decked out in colorful, patterned shorts, sunglasses, and an LV charm necklace. A chic character donning a yellow bag (an homage to the yellow Millionaire Speedy donned by Pharrell Williams, perhaps?) and a fedora alongside a bear rocking a beanie and a LV leather jacket round out the offerings.
No matter which charm catches your eye, you’re getting a rather detailed accessory for your bag. As far as price goes, the Vivienne Fashionista will retail for $1,390, while the Louis Bear sits at $1,270. And you won’t have to wait long to don LV’s designs: Both options can be pre-ordered now on the Louis Vuitton app, with the global release set for July 10.
As we mentioned, bag charms and accessories have gone viral as of late, with Labubus turning into one of the largest trends on the luxury style scene. Now, the plush toys from Chinese purveyor Pop Mart are relatively hard to find amid all the madness. Only time will tell if these latest LV creations will be equally as coveted.
