Labubu has dominated the Pop Mart craze for quite some time. Lisa helped boost the popularity of the mischievous-looking monster and people have been buying it to hang on their bags ever since. But there might be a new contender vying for the title of most famous Pop Mart toy. Mega Space Molly has been rising in popularity lately and could be the one to finally match or even exceed Labubu in popularity. Here’s what you need to know about Mega Royal Molly.

Mega Royal Molly: What you need to know about the pouty wide-eyed doll
The doll itself is actually Royal Molly, which is part of the Mega collection. The collection also includes Labubu and Skullpanda amongst other characters. Even Molly herself comes in different iterations in this collection. Two of the most famous ones are Royal Molly and Space Molly.
Molly is easily recognisable with her large bright eyes, pouted lips, and a mole beneath her left eye. The Space Molly figure sees her wearing an astronaut outfit while the Royal Molly figure sports a huge crown. Each Molly figure whether it’s Space Molly or Royal Molly comes in different designs depending on the theme. There’s a Donald Duck and Minion Space Molly and even a Van Gogh Royal Molly.
The figure was created by Hong Kong artist Kenny Wong back in 2006. Wong partnered with Pop Mart in 2016 who has been selling the Molly figures ever since. He also founded the company KENNYSWORK. His Instagram only has a few posts but one of them is a photo of Lisa with a Molly figure imitating the doll’s iconic face.
The price of a Molly figure varies depending on the design. There are mini figures that aren’t part of the Mega collection that are priced around THB 300. Some of the cheapest in the Mega collection are priced around THB 1,000 while the most expensive go all the way up to almost THB 32,000.
