Just in case you’re unfamiliar, Crybaby is another one of POP MART’s most popular personalities designed by Molly Yllom. Unlike Labubu, who has a specific gender and backstory, Crybaby is “neither a boy nor a girl, it’s not even limited to humans,” according to Pop Mart’s website. “It represents deep emotion from within. It can be anything and everything! Laughter is not the only way to feel better; crying can also heal.” And as a cancer who cries at the drop of a dime, I can totally relate, and more people should too. While the character has been around since 2017, it didn’t launch on POP MART until 2022 — giving toy fans only three years to get acquainted with the unique design.

Crybaby has dropped numerous adorable series that keep fans coming back for more — and this latest one is making us sprint to Pop Mart’s website, introducing the “SHINY SHINY” series, which might be this writer’s favorite. The new collection features an adorable, Swan Lake-inspired ballerina aesthetic with fluffy tulle skirts and classic ballet buns.
What to expect from the Crybaby Shiny Shiny Series?
You can expect more than just a plush, teary-eyed face bag charm. Like most POP MART series, this new one will have a bag charm. However, instead of being a capsule of six pendants with a secret edition, like Labubu’s, this series features only one design with no surprise. But it doesn’t stop there. This new series also features a wide range of other cute accessories, including phone cases, card holders, and an adorable plush doll — you can have a Shiny Shiny something in every part of your life.
When does the Crybaby Shiny Shiny Series Launch?
Drum roll, please! The Crybaby Shiny Shiny series will officially drop on the POP MART website today, Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 7 pm PST/10 pm EST.
POP MART does have an official storefront on Amazon, and typically, they release new series 24 hours after it’s launched on POP MART. We don’t know for certain if it’ll be there on Friday evening, but it’s safe to consider it as a possibility just in case you don’t secure your goodies on POP MART’s website.
