The Transportation Security Administration’s X page is getting more and more enjoyable to read.
On Aug. 6, the TSA shared a photo of a strange-looking stuffed animal and wrote,
“Paging the passenger who forgot literally their entire tray of items at security… your labubu won’t stop staring at us. Please come get it immediately. Thank you.”
What Is a Labubu?
In case you’re wondering what the heck a labubu is, NPR has you covered.
Labubus “come in a range of sizes as figurines and plushies, but the most popular come in blind boxes (more on that below) and are beloved among young adults and considered a popular fashion trend — often clipped to bags or belt loops,” the site reported.
In other words, they’re trendy small monster dolls or toys.
TSA Has Shared Other Unusual Posts on X
It’s not the first time that TSA has shared posts about unusual items on its X account.
The agency is also warning people not top bring CBD gummies on planes. “Need the ABCs on flying with your CBD? It remains illegal under federal law unless it contains no more than 0.3 percent THC. Our officers aren’t searching for your high-heals but will refer illegal drugs to a law enforcement officer,” wrote TSA.
In another post, TSA noted that inert RPGs aren’t suitable for flying.
“It’s not rocket science, but a passenger @iflyspokane felt propelled to pack 14 inert RPGs in their checked bags. Even if they’re fake or inert, realistic weapons like these can cause very real delays. It would lift our spirits if you could just leave them at home,” the agency wrote.
On Aug. 1, TSA wrote, “Travel Reminder: It’s best to remove items from your pockets and place them into your carry-on bag instead of into a bin. This includes items like phones, keys, cheese slices, pet rocks, pocket chicken, hot sauce packets, vapes, wallets, tissues, gum, and mints.”
